What Is The Opportunity?

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the GeoExchange Superintendent will be responsible for operational duties and reporting. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercising judgment and initiative and involves multi-tasking. This position works as a liaison between GeoExchange installers and management must have the ability to adhere to and follow policies and procedures. 

What You’ll Do Here:

Manage personnel and crews. Continuously changing work tasks. Perform QA/QC tasks as per QMS. Manage timesheets and reporting through ERP. Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg. Generate weekly/daily reports and complete submittals. Responsible for the supervision of on-site subcontractors. Develop and maintain equipment maintenance schedules. Participate in company safety program and required reporting. Create/manage tools, consumables, equipment, and product inventory. Ensuring Aecon’s corporate health and safety program is adhered to along with project specific site regulations and requirements. Participate in the establishment of project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of business requirements. Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment, and construction materials; move tools, equipment, and construction materials to and from work areas). Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.

What You Bring to the Team:

Capable of operating and maintaining equipment. Ability to work with others as a member of a team. Must be highly organized and able to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to stay productive under minimal supervision. Capacity for manual dexterity with physical strength and stamina. Thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards. Energy to use stairs, ladders, and climb over rough terrain. Prepared to work long hours per day in potential rough weather conditions. Open to travel, throughout/out of the province for periodic visits to job sites. Relevant experience in: GeoExchange/Water Well/Resource Drilling, Geothermal Grouting and Loop Installations Knowledge of innovative / effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
