As a Vehicle for Hire Licensing Representative, you will be responsible for the administrative duties associated with licensing, enforcement and regulation of the taxi, limousine and transportation network industry.Primary duties include:

Enter, review and process applications and licenses for vehicle for hire companies, stations, mechanics, plates, vehicles and drivers. Provide process and Livery Transport bylaw specific information to customers at the counter, via email and by telephone. Prepare and verify new car setups, taxi plate transfers and voluntary surrenders. Coordinate and schedule new driver training and testing. Track Inspection Certificates and vehicle extension requests. Process payments and perform daily cash reconciliation. Coordinate Calgary Police Service Information Checks. Create, manage and maintain files in various systems. Qualifications  A certificate in Business Administration, Office Administration or related area and at least 5 years of office experience which includes working with the public and providing a high level of customer service. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in vehicle for hire licensing. An Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required. Experience handling payments and basic accounting knowledge is preferred. Experience with Public One Stop Service Experience (POSSE) and Livelink (Content Server) will be considered an asset. Success in this position requires the following competencies: strong communication and interpersonal skills, exceptional planning, attention to detail, multi-tasking and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment is essential. Working Conditions: This is a front counter position with potential exposure to difficult clients.
