We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our organization in the role of Assistance Coach and Ski Service, CAST Men’s D Team.

Reporting to the Head Coach, CAST Men D Team, the Assistance Coach and Ski Service is a member
of the CAST Men D Team. The Assistant Coach and Ski Service will support ACA’s mission to increase podium performances by executing team performance strategies targeting both short-term and long-term athletic development and performance benchmarks through leadership within the D-Team tier of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team Structure.

Duties:

Responsible for ski preparation during camp and competition including set-up of ski room on site and organization of athletes in ski room Maintain ski data on each athlete Be present on snow during training and competition Assist Head Coach on hill as needed with various tasks such as: course setting, course maintenance, etc. Interact with Athletes in a professional manner Provide assistance with Athlete equipment Submit expense in a timely and accurate manner

Working Conditions

· Contract position to include 2 summer camps then full-time work from October through April

· Constant travel required

· Significant time working outdoors in winter conditions

· Requires lifting, walking and skiing

Employment Requirements

Previous experience with ski tuning/ ski service Experience working in a ski team environment Keen interest in ski-service and or coaching as a career path Ability to learn new skills quickly Ability to work under limited supervision Background and knowledge in ski racing Ability to do physical work for multiple days in a row Fluent in the English language Ability to communicate in French and/or German, is an asset

Additionally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
with experience driving results in complex workplace and stakeholder environments. Advanced ability working with MS office applications is required.
