We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ski and Snowboard Instructor Leader to join our team at WinSport. As a key member of our Snow School team, you will be responsible for leading a team of instructors and ensuring the delivery of high-quality ski and snowboard lessons to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of instructors to deliver exceptional ski and snowboard lessons to guests of all ages and skill levels.
- Support the development and execution of instructor training programs.
- Collaborate with management to ensure the successful execution of ski and snowboard programs.
- Provide exceptional customer service and guest-focused experiences.
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead daily team huddles to provide updates and training.
- Assist with the coordination of hill set-up and take-down, rental shop support, lesson check-in, and school group organization.
- Current Level 1, 2, 3, or 4 certification with CSIA/CASI or equivalent.
- Dual Ski/Snowboard certification and Freestyle/Park certification are considered assets.
- 3 years of leadership experience in a related or other field.
- 3-5 years of working with youth and adult programs.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, coachable attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in other languages is considered an asset.
- Organization, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills are required.
- Strong decision-making skills are essential.
- Strong pedagogy and mentoring skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Previous experience working with a large and diverse team is considered an asset.
- Previous conflict resolution experience is an asset.
- Experienced understanding of Ski/Snowboard industry is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel or PowerPoint is considered an asset.
