Job Description
CEDA is looking for Dredge Operators to work at our Fort McMurray, AB location on CNRL Horizon site.

Performing a wide variety of jobs using basic construction skills and/or operating some power equipment. Cleaning, preparation and maintenance of construction equipment or components. Participating in daily tool box talk meetings, weekly safety meetings, Safety tours & CEDA’s ICE card program. Required to operate and maintain deposition areas, plant facilities, tank farm location, screen tanks & manage sump levels. Required to manipulate valves, Rig In/Out diesel pumps, Operation of Dredges & Diesel /Electric pumps, skid steer, etc. Perform other activities to assist with process and machine operators. Maintain Cleanliness of equipment & Housekeeping in immediate work areas. May be required to assist with minor repairs and maintenance. Ability to travel and flexibility in scheduling in required.Role Specifications:
Prior experience with pumps, centrifuge systems or dredging and dewatering Valid Class 5 licence with a clean abstract Valid certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO) Valid Pleasure Craft operator card is desirable Marine Emergency Duties (A1 or A3) licence is an asset Small Vessel Operator (SVOP) training is an asset Able to provide a negative pre-employment alcohol and drug test; Able to work in confined space or at heights with the use of fall restraint equipment is an asset Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment (N-95 Dust Mask / North Half mask)Skills
Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Comfortable being on and around open bodies of water Comfortable working outdoors in harsh weather conditions You have the ability to prioritize and initiate innovative solutions You demonstrate strong organizational and problem solving skills You possess an uncompromising commitment to health and safety at all times
