LOCATION : Montreal

We are looking for an experienced Producer to join the Haven Interactive Studios project team. As a Producer, you will act as a product owner for our multi-disciplinary teams. You will work closely with the content creation team, technical experts, and Content Directors to deliver high quality products. The Producer will manage our map production team of Environment Artists, Modelers, Texture Artists, Lighting Artists and Level Designers. You will leverage your deep understanding of development to drive project timelines, and work with the Production Director and leadership team to establish production best practices. As the project progresses through its production cycle, the scope of your mandate will evolve.

Reporting

The Producer will report to the Production Director. 

Responsibilities and Duties

Plan deliverables with project Leads and Directors, validate feasibility, and drive development through the project’s entire lifecycle.

Break down complex deliverables, create/manage project roadmap, and keep stakeholders informed, aware of risks, and trade-offs.

Provide clear, timely and regular communication to ensure that the development team and key stakeholders remain engaged and production goals are well understood. 

Manage day-to-day operations of a multi-disciplinary team in an agile environment while keeping a watchful eye on team health and development status.

Assign individual responsibilities to team members, coordinate dependencies, and drive decisions around priorities that come in conflict with project deliverables.

Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including providing development planning, assessing their work performance, and looking out for career opportunities and their well-being.

Establish an innovative culture of data informed decision making within the team.

Participate in the recruitment process; conduct interviews, evaluate candidates’ skills, experience, and compatibility with team and organization culture.

Experience and Skills Required

Experience in similar management positions such as Producer, Associate Producer, Development Director or other relevant position.

Deep understanding of development methodologies, best practices, production life cycle, tools and processes.

Ability to prioritize and manage complex operational issues.

Excellent leadership skills, with a proven ability to recruit, grow, guide, empower and motivate a highly functioning production team in a fast paced changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Great interpersonal communication skills with an ability to successfully partner across and at all levels of a team and organization.

Experience launching and operating live service games with a solid understanding of development best practices for Games As A Service.

Deep understanding of map production process.

Object Bank creation and management experience.

Experience managing teams in all phases of the production cycle.

Strong desire to find ways to optimize the game development process.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity, displaying flexibility and adaptability to adjust plans and strategies as new information is gained or as project conditions change.

Au fur et à mesure que le projet progresse dans son cycle de production, la portée de votre mandat évoluera.

Rapport

 Le Producteur·trice relèvera du·de la directeur·trice de la Production. 

Responsabilités et tâches

Planifier les produits livrables avec les chef·fe·s de projet et les directeur·trice·s, valider la faisabilité et diriger le développement tout au long du cycle de vie du projet.

Décomposer les livrables complexes, créer/gérer la feuille de route du projet et tenir les parties prenantes informées, conscientes des risques et des compromis.

Fournir une communication claire, opportune et régulière pour s'assurer que l'équipe de développement et les principales parties prenantes restent engagées et que les objectifs de production sont bien compris. 

Gérer les opérations quotidiennes d'une équipe multidisciplinaire dans un environnement agile tout en gardant un œil sur la santé de l'équipe et l'état du développement.

Attribuer des responsabilités individuelles aux membres de l'équipe, coordonner les dépendances et prendre des décisions concernant les priorités qui entrent en conflit avec les livrables du projet.

Encadrez, encadrez et développez les membres de l'équipe, notamment en établissant des plans de développement, en évaluant leurs performances professionnelles et en veillant aux opportunités de carrière et à leur bien-être.

Instaurer une culture innovante de prise de décision fondée sur les données au sein de l'équipe.

Participer au processus de recrutement ; mener des entretiens, évaluer les compétences, l'expérience et la compatibilité des candidats avec la culture de l'équipe et de l'organisation.

Expérience et compétences requises

Expérience dans des postes de gestion similaires tels que Producteur·trice, Producteur·trice associé·e, directeur·trice du développement ou autre poste pertinent.

Compréhension approfondie des méthodologies de développement, des meilleures pratiques, du cycle de vie de la production, des outils et des processus.

Capacité à établir des priorités et à gérer des problèmes opérationnels complexes.

Excellentes compétences en leadership, avec une capacité avérée à recruter, développer, guider, responsabiliser et motiver une équipe de production très performante dans un environnement en constante évolution.

Qualifications recherchées

Excellentes aptitudes à la communication interpersonnelle et capacité à établir des partenariats fructueux à tous les niveaux d'une équipe et d'une organisation.

Expérience du lancement et de l'exploitation de jeux live avec une solide compréhension des meilleures pratiques de développement pour les jeux en tant que service.

Compréhension approfondie du processus de production de cartes.

Expérience de la création et de la gestion de banques d'objets.

Expérience de la gestion d'équipes dans toutes les phases du cycle de production.

Forte volonté de trouver des moyens d'optimiser le processus de développement des jeux.

Être à l'aise dans l'ambiguïté, faire preuve de flexibilité et d'adaptabilité pour ajuster les plans et les stratégies à mesure que de nouvelles informations sont obtenues ou que les conditions du projet changent.
