Role Overview

Award-winning TiMi Studio Group seeks a highly experienced Technical Design Director to lead the development of AAA open-world games based on new IPs. The project will be released on multiple platforms using Unreal's latest technology.

As a Technical Design Director, your role will be to define and deliver a unique, forward-thinking creative vision. You will develop scalable content production pipelines and tools, empower and support a team of designers, and facilitate communication between disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the core team to define a unique, forward-thinking and achievable creative vision.
  2. Develop scalable content production pipeline and tools that support our creative vision.
  3. Empower and support a team of designers to build content efficiently and consistently.
  4. Facilitate communication between multiple disciplines to reach common goals.
  5. Lead a team of technical designers and foster their professional development.
  6. Stimulate innovation across multiple design disciplines.
  7. Define performance budgets for each component of the game, optimize data to maximize quality.
  8. Represent our studio's core values and create a collaborative and inclusive environment for everyone.

Requirements

  1. At least eight years of professional AAA game development experience.
  2. At least two shipped AAA open-world titles, including one during the current generation of video games (PS4/XBOX ONE).
  3. Strong technical proficiency with game development tools and technology.
  4. Solid understanding of the video game industry and market.
  5. Team player with an ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
  6. Good communication and presentation skills.
  7. Passion to innovate, especially in the design and development of open-world games.
  8. Experience developing in and extending Unreal Engine 4 a plus.
