The Town of Cochrane, located in northeastern Ontario, serves a population of about 6,000 residents, with a nearly even split between anglophone and francophone communities. The municipality has experienced recent growth and offers opportunities across mining, forestry, transportation, finance, healthcare, and administration sectors. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, political acuity, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Ideal Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an executive assistant or legal/HR support role, preferably within a municipal or public sector environment involving confidential and labour‑related matters. Organization & Project Management: Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven experience managing confidential and privileged information; bilingualism in English/French considered an asset. Education: Post‑secondary education in business administration, public administration, legal studies, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
