As the Site Supervisor you will take direction from the Commercial team's Operations Manager and work toward optimizing efficiency and completing projects within First Onsite’s acceptable service levels. Ideally, you come from a background as a lead water technician (IIRCRC certified WRT) or a supervisor role in a commercial construction or restoration company. If this sounds like the opportunity for you, apply today A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SITE SUPERVISOR Reviews, schedules and oversees all in‑house work from Project Managers. Maintains a high level of quality and efficiency throughout the project, including: Ensures demo meets First Onsite quality standards Produces comprehensive materials list for repairs Reviews and provides revisions to scope before work commences if required Provides immediate direction and assistance to onsite crews Meets scheduled completion timetables Updates all parties involved on work progress and informs them of changes/additions to original work order or repair specifications. Builds, leads, and deploys the best quality team to achieve the objectives of our corporate strategic plan. Ensures company health and safety policies and procedures are followed for all First Onsite personnel and sub‑contractors, includes ensuring all branch personnel are up to date with health and safety procedures and training, and participates or conducts tail‑gate meetings regarding health and safety and work procedures when on site. Maintains detailed project schedules that include administrative tasks for multiple sites. Monitors staff efficiency and effectiveness daily, reviews and authorizes timesheets. Inspects progress and work quality during and after repairs to assure all scope requirements are met; and reports outcomes to the OM. Qualifications & Experience High level of construction process knowledge and a minimum of 2 years of proven track record in a construction supervisor/foreman position with up to 25 direct reports within the restoration/emergency (or a related) industry. Detailed understanding of reconstruction practices for properties that have suffered water, wind, mould, fire, and vandalism damages. Knowledge of Canadian building codes and electrical, plumbing, or mechanical and related codes. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Computer skills required, effectively use Word, Excel, and Outlook. Basic accounting skills such as invoicing, billing, and general math skills. Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence. Work activities may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces).
