Group Benefits Account Manager

Our client, a well-established group benefits consulting firm , is seeking a Group Benefits Account Manager to support and manage a portfolio of employer-sponsored benefits plans. This role is ideal for a service-oriented professional who enjoys client relationship management, plan administration, and working closely with advisors and carriers. The Role The Group Benefits Account Manager will be responsible for day-to-day client service, plan renewals, carrier coordination, and ongoing benefits administration support. You will act as a key point of contact for clients while partnering with consultants to deliver high-quality advisory and service outcomes. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of group benefits clients across health, dental, life, disability, and wellness plans Act as the primary client contact for ongoing plan administration and service inquiries Coordinate renewals, marketing, and plan changes with insurers and carriers Prepare renewal reports, plan summaries, and client presentations Support implementation of new benefit plans and onboarding of new clients Assist with employee communications, plan booklets, and enrollment materials Liaise with carriers on claims issues, escalations, and administrative matters Maintain accurate client records and documentation Support consultants and advisors with analysis, reporting, and client deliverables Qualifications 5+ years of experience in group benefits administration, consulting, or brokerage Strong knowledge of group health and benefits plans in Canada Experience working with insurers and carriers Excellent client service and relationship management skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office GBA designation or working toward it is an asset Ability to manage multiple client priorities in a deadline-driven environment Why Consider This Opportunity Join a respected group benefits consulting firm with a collaborative culture Hybrid work model with time in a Toronto office Exposure to a diverse client base and complex benefit plans Competitive compensation and benefits Long-term career development in group benefits consulting
