As the HR Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting talent acquisition, coordinating employee engagement initiatives, and providing exceptional HR service. You'll work closely with business unit managers to understand the employee experience and recommend continuous improvement ideas that strengthen our culture. Key Responsibilities Support the full‑cycle recruitment by reviewing candidate qualifications, short‑listing and conducting pre‑screening interviews, coordinating interviews, and communicating with hiring managers and candidates throughout the process. Support the onboarding process from pre‑onboarding through to completion, including auditing. Attend job fairs and represent GTI with professionalism and enthusiasm and engage with workforce development partners to identify recruitment opportunities. Update and manage the candidate database. Prepare onboarding reports and provide feedback to managers. Maintain, optimize and report on recruitment metrics. Employee Engagement Champion GTI culture through employee engagement while seeking to understand the employee experience and make continuous improvement recommendations. Coordinate quarterly employee engagement surveys, analysis and reporting. Support employee wellness initiatives, programs and company events. Assist with the annual performance management program. HR Operations Act as first point of contact for HR inquiries and triage as required. Manage total reward program and group benefit administration. Maintain quality HRIS data, create reports, optimize features, tools and reporting. Work with management on job description creation, maintenance, and publication. Support HR operation communication initiatives. Ensure compliance with employment standards and data privacy. Support employee change processes. Contribute to various HR administration duties. Experience And Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent. 2‑5 years proven experience in recruitment, HR operations, or a generalist role. Working knowledge of provincial employment regulations, ability to source information and work in compliance with relevant legislation. Ability to handle, resolve or elevate recruitment and selection issues promptly and efficiently. Customer‑service minded, providing friendly, respectful, and confidential employee services. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems, with BambooHR experience being an asset. High attention to detail and quality oriented. Highly organised, effective planning and scheduling while in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work on a team, be proactive, take direction, and desire to learn. Adaptable to change while balancing multiple priorities, think critically, and proactively communicate. Professional fluency in written and spoken English. Security Requirements All candidates must be eligible for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Reliability Security clearances.
