Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Food & Beverage, the Cedars Restaurant Manager leads the day-to-day operation of Cedars Restaurant and Lounge, a high-volume, full-service restaurant serving resort guests and the local community, with seating for approximately 330 guests across the restaurant, lounge, and seasonal patio.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while overseeing Team Member performance and development, operational standards, financial performance, and the overall success of the restaurant.

responsibilities

  • Lead daily restaurant, lounge, bar, and seasonal patio operations.
  • Lead, coach, schedule, and develop front-of-house supervisors and Team Members.
  • Maintain exceptional standards for guest service, cleanliness, safety, and presentation.
  • Oversee sales, labour costs, budgets, inventory, and profitability to support established financial targets.
  • Partner with the Director, Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and culinary team to ensure consistent and efficient service.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and Team Member development.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, responsible liquor service, workplace safety, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, revenue, and the guest experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive restaurant management experience; General Manager experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience leading a high-volume, full-service restaurant operation.
  • Strong knowledge of front-of-house, bar, and lounge operations.
  • Proven leadership and team-development skills.
  • Experience managing labour, budgets, inventory, costs, and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, responsible alcohol service, and workplace safety requirements.
  • WSET certification is considered an asset.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Pay Rate: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
