Position Overview CAE is part of a team of contractors that are working together under the leadership of SkyAlyne to deliver the FAcT program. By joining our CAE team, you will be helping to create a dynamic and exciting training environment for Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) students learning on the Pilatus PC 21 aircraft. You will be part of a broad team of professionals focused on providing the RCAF with a modern, effective and efficient pilot training program. The Pilatus PC 21 training program will support RCAF pilot candidates moving forward on advanced fixed wing and advanced Jet (pre-Future Fighter Lead In Training (FLIT)) flight training as they continue their pursuit of obtaining their RCAF pilot wings. That’s why we need your expertise and passion to complete our team The role we are offering you: In this position you will be a key expert for CAE’s FAcT Integrated Solution Team that is responsible for ensuring that the training solution components provided by CAE for the Pilatus PC 21 training programs are effectively integrated. The position requires working in partnership with CAE’s existing Pilatus PC 21 Qualified Flight instructors (QFI) and leading the IPT (Integrated Product Team) and TDT (Training Development Team) on behalf of CAE. Additionally, in collaboration with the Courseware Instructional System Designer (ISD), you and your team will work with RCAF representatives to advise and review the module outlines, storyboards and courseware production for technical content and alignment with the Training Plan. Finally, this position may require that you support other program needs such as Flight Training Operations design, Ground Based Training Systems design and training device design. This position will ideally be in either Ottawa, Montreal or Moose Jaw with the possibility of remote. Roles and responsibilities include: Fulfilling subject matter expert roles in support of the Training Program design Attending meetings and working with contractor and RCAF representatives Supporting the design and development of courseware, including classroom-based, synthetic training device-based and live flying training sequences Supporting acceptance testing of courseware and synthetic training devices Supporting the establishment of an integrated training center through the development of policy and procedure documents Analyzing and reporting on training needs and risks Aligning training program and courseware design with training device, training center and flight operation capabilities Support Validation and Verification (V&V) efforts; and Identify when customer expectations reach beyond contracted scope Required Skills & Qualifications RCAF pilot with a fighter, jet or 2CFFTS CQFI flying experience or the candidate has PC-21instructional experience Pilatus PC 21 experience Level I security clearance Experience in RCAF pilot instruction Experience as an RCAF Instrument Check Pilot Experience in Fighter Lead-in instruction Front line fighter pilot experience that includes ADKH and two ship lead PTLL3 qualifications Providing or receiving aviation training with the use of synthetic training devices and multimedia Analytical mindset Problem solving Technical aptitude Strong communication skills Leadership Change management Curriculum design and/or management experience Learning Science and/or Instructional design experience Be eligible to obtain a Level I security clearance; successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada; and be eligible for CAE to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations Bilingualism is an asset Our ideal candidate has: 10+ years Flying experience or pilot training program design and training delivery experience Pilatus PC-21 flying experience Past RCAF pilot Qualified flight instructor (QFI) CAE offers: An environment where your initiatives will be recognized and valued The opportunity to work on a variety of projects on a multidisciplinary team The possibility to work from home occasionally Flexible schedules Attractive employee benefits Are you looking for a work environment where you can innovate, reach greater heights, and collaborate with experts from a wide range of sectors?
