About This Team From concept through pre‑production, Product Development is the front‑line for communicating with finished goods vendors, launching sketches, requesting samples, fitting products, and maintaining a data library for the product life cycle. This cross‑functional group partners with Design, Concept, Global Fit, Technical Development, Quality, Merchandising, Finished Goods Sourcing, Raw Materials, and Go‑to‑Market operations to deliver commercially ready products to our buying teams. A Day in the Life – Responsibilities The Product Development Manager leads a team to commercialize best‑in‑class products in partnership with creative and strategic counterparts, balancing function, time, cost, and quality while delivering design intent. They strategize product road maps, set industry standards, and drive team project management expertise to deliver premium, functional, and innovative products fit for production. Execute short‑ and long‑term product development strategies Lead, train, mentor, and coach the team to elevate business and soft skill sets Reinforce an environment for learning, open dialogue, collaboration, and transparency Drive internal process efficiency by encouraging co‑creation with vendors and external partners as needed Mentor team members through personal development plans and career pathways Influence cross‑functional partners to resolve issues and maintain project visibility Collaborate across functions to ensure full transparency of style status along seasonal deadlines Resource and allocate seasonal capacity efficiently across product classifications and team capabilities Manage seasonal product development to meet cost, quality, and design intent goals Maintain product category knowledge and aid in strategic decision making Partner with leaders to drive innovation and elevate process improvement Ensure raw materials and trim developments align with strategic roadmaps Partner with sourcing to provide vendor allocation insights and achieve cost objectives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; training in Technical Design, Product Management, or Product Development preferred 8+ years minimum industry experience (preferably in Product Development, Product Management, or Sourcing) 2+ years minimum people leadership/mentorship experience Extensive technical knowledge of performance or ready‑to‑wear product lifecycle, fit, construction, costing, and international manufacturing (domestic manufacturing an asset) Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) Experience with Flex PLM or similar PLM software is recommended Must Haves Recognize choice in every moment and take personal responsibility Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and innovate continuously Communicate honestly and kindly, creating space for others to do the same Lead with courage, believing greatness is possible beyond fear of failure Foster connection by putting people first and building trust Integrate fun and joy into work, without taking oneself too seriously Additional Notes Immigration support may be available for this role. Compensation and Benefits Package The typical hiring range is $129,600‑170,100 CAD annually (base pay varies by location). Permanent employees may be eligible for a competitive annual bonus program and other rewards.
