**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sourcing and Financial Services, the Apparel Product Development and Sourcing Assistant plays a key role in supporting private label initiatives through product development, sourcing coordination, timeline management, and costing. This role contributes directly to the profitability and success of The Authentic T-Shirt Company®/SanMar Canada by assisting in the creation of innovative, on-trend apparel products.
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum 1+ years’ experience in garment wholesale required
- Minimum 1+ year experience in garment construction preferred
- Minimum 1+ year general administrative experience preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator required
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel, required
- Fabric knowledge an asset
- Self-starter, highly motivated, and willing to take on any task
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate in data management
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Able to meet deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and perform well under pressure
- Flexible, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Valid driver's license and passport required
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Full-time, in-office attendance required
- 40 hours per week; occasional overtime
- Early morning or evening meetings required to support international vendors
- Weekend communications as necessary to accommodate international time zones
- International travel as required
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Collaborate with the Product Development team to identify and develop new apparel concepts and styles
- Create and maintain Tech Packs for new product development
- Create and maintain the Product Development Tracker for new projects
- Communicate with overseas suppliers throughout the sample development and product revision process
- Manage and track product samples, including receiving, organizing, measuring, and coordinating approval meetings
- Coordinate lab dips and schedule approval meetings with the manager
- Conduct wash and print testing, maintain records, and communicate results to the manager
- Organize fit sessions and maintain fit session comments and photos
- Proof garment specification details for accuracy to support the Merchandising team
- Provide clear and comprehensive product information to Marketing and Quality Control teams
- Effectively prioritize and manage work assignments
- Support new assignments and company initiatives with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
- Demonstrate a passion for product, commitment to quality, and ensure the best product execution
- Adhere to current and future company policies and standards to ensure a safe and agreeable working environment
