About the role We are seeking a curious high energy Senior Financial Analyst who thrives in a business-centric environment, leveraging their expertise in management accounting or Business Finance to drive strategic decision-making and operational excellence. In this role you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health and success of our company. You will be responsible for providing insightful financial analysis, costing, accurate reporting, and strategic recommendations to senior management. Working closely with various departments, you will translate complex financial data into actionable insights that inform key business decisions and drive profitability. Responsibilities Partner closely with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to enhance profitability and efficiency. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, ensuring accurate allocation of costs and resources across the company. Drive strategic initiatives by providing financial modeling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluations. Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads to monitor budget adherence and identify areas for improvement. Prepare monthly management reports, variance analyses, and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making processes. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline financial processes, implement controls, and optimize reporting tools. Stay informed about industry trends and market dynamics to inform financial strategies and mitigate risks. What you bring to the team Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. Curious and driven to make a difference. Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to effectively communicate financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments. Requirements Completed CPA / CMA designation preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior management accounting or Business Finance role. Costing experience is an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Proficient in financial modeling and analysis tools. Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and ERP systems. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
