Our people are the best part about Demetres and we're looking for the right people to carry the tradition of excellence forward to our brand new ice cream shop: Scooped by Demetres . With this store, we’re focusing exclusively on the craft ice creams we’ve been pioneering for 35+ years. We strive for a high energy, kind and positive team. We believe in serving our handcrafted ice creams in bright, beautiful, and welcoming environments. We eat a lot of ice cream. At Scooped by Demetres, we don't recruit for roles, we recruit for attitude and personality. As an Artisan , you will be responsible for greeting and assisting our guests; explaining our ice cream flavours; and scooping and serving delicious ice cream. There will also be a little food prep/production in the kitchen/cafe. This is a part-time position, requiring shifts during afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities: Provide warm + personable service Articulate the craft behind our ice creams smartly each time Guide guests towards their (soon-to-be) favourite ice cream flavours Scoop and serve a lot of ice cream Requirements: Able to work quickly and efficiently while multitasking Able to learn quickly, follow directions, maintain a clean station, and be organized Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time Able to clearly & kindly communicate with guests and colleagues We have 5 Guiding Principles that we live by.
