Position Overview:


As an HR Business Partner, you will report directly to the Director of HR and work collaboratively within a dedicated HR team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing HR strategies that align with the company’s business objectives. This position is designed for a seasoned HR professional with a strong background in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic HR Partnership: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their objectives and provide strategic HR support. This includes workforce planning, talent management, and organizational design.
  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Develop retention strategies and succession plans to ensure long-term organizational growth.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing complex employee relations issues, mediating disputes, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance review process, working with managers to develop performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.
  • HR Policy Development: Assist in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures that comply with current employment laws and support business goals.
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Support the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the industry and alignment with company objectives.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting: Track and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and provide insights to senior management on trends and areas for improvement.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HR Business Partner or in a similar role within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory requirements. Experience with labor relations and union environments is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
