Job Description

CIMA+, a leading professional services and consulting engineering firm, is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to support its growth objectives in Western Canada. This role will be responsible for providing coaching to the CIMA+ leadership team and supporting employees in the region concerning all files related to the HR function.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a strategic partner and coach for the management team, providing guidance on human resources management, including employee engagement, performance management, compensation, communication, training, and talent acquisition.
  2. Develop a strong business relationship with managers and employees to maximize trust, engagement, and retention.
  3. Work closely with the HR team to implement customized and agile solutions to address the unique challenges of HR management in Western Canada.
  4. Identify risks and opportunities for improvement related to human resources management and support managers in addressing them responsibly and strategically.
  5. Represent the HR function and the business sector in various mandates and projects, implementing initiatives to drive business results.
  6. Act as a change agent within a context of rapid growth, aligning with CIMA+'s values and organizational culture.
  7. Provide HR guidance and support to employees, ensuring they have the necessary resources to excel in their roles.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current and applicable laws, regulations, best practices, and trends in human resources management.
  9. Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to select and integrate new employees, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  10. Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or Business Partner role.
  3. Understanding of Western Canada employment laws.
  4. Proven experience in business partnerships and a strong customer service orientation.
  5. Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
  6. Excellent communication and coaching skills.
  7. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment.
  8. Member of a professional order is an asset.
  9. Knowledge of the professional services and consulting engineering sector is an asset.

The expected salary for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000, depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity. CIMA+ is committed to equal access to resources and opportunities for all candidates, regardless of their identity or background.
