About the Role We’re looking for a Business Development, Account Manager to join our growing Prestige team As a Business Development Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing the High Net Worth business of designated brokers and achieving Intact’s Prestige strategic goals while maintaining excellent business relationships with the brokerage network. This full‑time permanent role can be based out of our Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC office. What You’ll Do Here Develop and implement a business development plan to deliver on growth targets and build business relationships with brokerages under your responsibility. Implement business development activities adapted to respective broker realities (broker segmentation and profile). Adapt your approach and strategies accordingly. Present and sell Intact’s overall offering to generate and maintain the brokerage network’s enthusiasm and proximity. Understand the market and environment in which you operate. Monitor all company operations influencing business relationships with brokerages under your responsibility. Advise brokerages on marketing solutions to promote and grow sales of Intact products and services. Ensure Intact’s marketing intelligence to seize business opportunities and identify potential threats (sale‑purchase‑merger). Initiate discussions on financial solutions. Work with your supervisor and managers to motivate the underwriting team and achieve a steady and sustained level of engagement. Share your knowledge of the network with your team and act as a driver of business development. Represent your role and region to regional and provincial committees and advise other departments within the company (actuarial, finance, HR, marketing, etc.). What You Bring To The Table Relevant experience in business development within the property and casualty insurance industry. High net worth experience is an asset. College diploma or university degree is an asset. Strong understanding of commercial lines, auto and home products. Excellent knowledge of the brokerage network. Comfortable negotiating moderate to complex situations. Ability to influence business relationships to achieve business development and growth targets. Works well under pressure to achieve established objectives. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Capable of working independently and part of a collaborative team. Available and willing to attend events. Able to provide a valid class 5 driver’s license and a good driving record. Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
