Outbound Sales Representative – Concrete Forming and Shoring Systems


Overview:


We are looking for an Outbound Sales Representative who specializes in concrete forming and shoring system rentals, you will leverage your industry experience and technical knowledge to drive sales and nurture client relationships. Your role will focus on expanding our client's customer base, managing existing accounts, and meeting sales quotas through strategic lead generation and expert customer interactions. Proficiency in blueprint interpretation, a track record in construction sales, and the ability to travel are essential for success in this dynamic position.



Must Haves:


  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in construction, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' of outside sales experience in the construction industry dealing with shoring and forming schematics.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Excellent telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Ability to provide technical advice and assistance on construction related products and services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
  • Legal right to work in Canada.


Nice to Haves:


  • Experience with CRM tools for sales tracking and customer management.
  • A healthy network of BC based construction contractors.
  • In-depth knowledge of the commercial and construction markets.
  • Familiarity with strategic sales planning and execution tailored to market segmentation.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to the construction industry.
  • Experience in dispute resolution and providing post-contract support.
  • Multilingual abilities to cater to a diverse client base.


Responsibilities:


  • Cultivate and expand customer base by identifying and pursuing new sales leads.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts to enhance market share.
  • Keep meticulous records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project management.
  • Support customers during the initial setup of contracts and post-contract completion.
  • Provide clear and accurate information on terms, conditions, and technical specifications of products and equipment.
  • Liaise with engineering and operations departments to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Deliver technical presentations and engage in client entertainment as required.
  • Maintain professional demeanour and appearance consistently.
  • Commit to ongoing education and training to remain knowledgeable about industry trends and standards.
  • Uphold the company's reputation by adhering to ethical sales practices and customer engagement.
  • Perform additional tasks as necessitated by the evolving sales environment or as assigned by management.
