Allocate work and correspondence to the underwriting team daily. Identify, search, log and distribute applications. Assemble and prepare output for mailing with the same day turnaround time. May order various underwriting reports from the computer system. Assist the management team with any required tasks. Identify problems and relevant issues, seek to resolve problems and improve work processes and share back with the team/management. Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously. Work closely to develop and maintain positive business partnerships with brokers and co-workers. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring To The Table(Education required) No previous experience required Understanding of the underwriting principles and practices Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision Can work independently Initiative and ability to work under pressure Keyboarding skills and knowledge of computers required Experience with Windows-based software programs and underwriting systems preferred Must be able to develop some proficiency in the use and knowledge of all computer systems related to their function Excellent communication skills Team player No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
