In return, we promise to provide support, opportunities and performance-led financial rewards at a workplace where you can shape the future, win as a team and grow with us.About The RoleWe’re looking for an Underwriting Support Clerk to join our growing teamWhat You'll Do HereManage the incoming requests from our brokers and distribute work to the underwriting team according to different levels of seniority and assigned roles.Allocate work and correspondence to the underwriting team daily.Identify, search, log and distribute applications.Assemble and prepare output for mailing with the same day turnaround time.May order various underwriting reports from the computer system.Assist the management team with any required tasks.Identify problems and relevant issues, seek to resolve problems and improve work processes and share back with the team/management.Answer straightforward inquiries from brokers promptly and courteously.Work closely to develop and maintain positive business partnerships with brokers and co-workers.Other duties as assigned.What You Bring To The Table[Education required]No previous experience requiredUnderstanding of the underwriting principles and practicesHighly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervisionCan work independentlyInitiative and ability to work under pressureKeyboarding skills and knowledge of computers requiredExperience with Windows-based software programs and underwriting systems preferredMust be able to develop some proficiency in the use and knowledge of all computer systems related to their functionExcellent communication skillsTeam playerNo Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.What We OfferOur hybrid work model provides the balance between working from home and enjoying meaningful in-person interactions.Working Here Means You'll Be Empowered To Be And Do Your Best Every Day.
