This role requires strong project management skills, full English/French bilingualism (written and spoken), linguistic expertise, and the ability to effectively coordinate with clients, translators, and other stakeholders. The Project Manager, Translation ensures the successful execution of translation projects, meeting quality, timeline, and budgetary requirements.**Key Responsibilities:****Project Planning and Initiation:**u2022 Collaborate with clients to gather project requirements, including file format, required tasks, subject matter, deadlines, and specific instructions.u2022 Determine project scope, objectives, and deliverables.u2022 Assess resource requirements, including translators, proofreaders, and other project team members.u2022 Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations.u2022 Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.**Resource Management:**u2022 Identify and assign appropriate translators and language specialists based on project requirements and their expertise.u2022 Coordinate with Starbucks approved translation vendors to secure resources if necessary.u2022 Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and availability throughout the project lifecycle.u2022 Provide guidance and support, and address any issues or conflicts that arise.**Project Execution and Control:**u2022 Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards.u2022 Monitor project progress and manage potential risks or issues that may impact project delivery.u2022 Conduct regular status meetings, providing project updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or questions.**Client Communication and Relationship Management:**u2022 Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication to understand their needs and expectations.u2022 Provide timely updates on project status, milestones, and any changes that may impact project scope or timeline.u2022 Address client feedback and concerns, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.**Quality Assurance and Delivery:**u2022 Collaborate with translators and proofreaders to address any linguistic or technical issues.u2022 Ensure timely delivery of high-quality translated materials within project deadlines.u2022 Implement and maintain quality control processes to uphold translation standards.**Project Evaluation and Reporting:**u2022 Contribute to process improvements and the development of best practices for translation project management.**Qualifications and Skills:**u2022 Bachelor''s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Communication, or a related field.u2022 Minimum of 3 years experience in translation project management or coordination.u2022 Strong knowledge of translation processes, terminology management, and CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools.u2022 Excellent command of English language (written and spoken), bilingual (En-Fr)u2022 Excellent project management skills, including planning, organization, and resource allocation.u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, translators, and other stakeholders.u2022 Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.u2022 Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.u2022 Proficiency in project management software and tools.u2022 Self driven and solution oriented.u2022 Desire to work in a fast growing and technology driven environment.**Strong assets:**u2022 Project Management certificationu2022 Experience as a professional translator**Compensation & Benefits**The typical hiring range for this position is $77,900 - $106,060 CAD annually.
