About CICR: The Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution (CICR) empowers individuals, communities, and organizations to resolve conflicts peacefully. Since 1988, CICR has provided conflict resolution training, interventions, and participatory workshops across Canada and abroad. Our mission is to equip participants with key interpersonal skills, coaching, mediation, group facilitation, community dialogue, and other peacebuilding competencies through our renowned Third-Party Neutral (TPN) program.


Role Overview: We seek a dynamic and creative Programs & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This role is perfect for a proactive individual passionate about conflict resolution, marketing, and community engagement. You will play a crucial role in delivering CICR’s courses and services, managing both administrative and marketing tasks to ensure the successful promotion and execution of our programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Coordination: Manage the logistics and delivery of CICR’s programs in-person and online, including course and workshop scheduling, registration, coordination with trainers, and production of training materials.
  • Administrative Support: Provide front-office services, maintain records, answer inquiries, and ensure the efficient functioning of CICR’s office.
  • Marketing & Communication: Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase awareness and engagement. Create and manage bilingual content for our website and social media platforms.
  • Website & Social Media Management: Maintain and update our website (Wix platform) and social media channels with compelling, bilingual content.
  • SEO & Analytics: Optimize our online presence using SEO best practices and analyze performance data to inform marketing strategies.
  • Ad Campaigns & Automation: Create and manage online ad campaigns, and automate customer interactions to enhance marketing efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with CICR staff, partners, and volunteers to support program delivery and marketing efforts.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Experience: A relevant undergraduate degree and 2-3 years of experience in program coordination and digital marketing, preferably in a not-for-profit setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in both English and French, excellent organizational and project management skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with the Wix platform, Google Workspace, Zoom, SEO tools, and social media management.
  • Personal Attributes: A creative thinker with a proactive approach, excellent judgment, empathy, diplomacy, and a strong commitment to teamwork.


What We Offer:

  • Salary: $40,000 to $50,000 annually, based on experience and skills, with benefits after the probationary period.
  • Benefits: Employee insurance plan, RRSP matching, job-related education and training, flexible hours, and the opportunity to work remotely.
  • Location: Ottawa, Saint Paul University. Hybrid working arrangement (remote and office).
