Description

  • Manage bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in Canada and US
  • Process payroll adjustments, including earnings, deductions, taxes, ROEs, severance, remittances, and garnishments.
  • Prepare third-party remittances, reports, file submissions, and reconciliations.
  • Work with Finance to meet month-end deadlines and reconcile payroll accounts, including payroll journal preparation.
  • Participate in Dayforce HCM initiatives and other projects as assigned.
  • Serve as the main payroll contact, resolving inquiries and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Oversee year-end processes, including T4 and W-2 adjustments.
  • Stay updated on Canadian and US payroll tax regulations.
  • Conduct payroll audits to identify gaps and improvements.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR on tax and payroll matters, and assist auditors with payroll-related inquiries.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, including hourly and salaried employees.
  • PCP certification; CPM designation is a plus.
  • Ceridian Dayforce experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and US payroll legislation, tax rules, and year-end reporting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
