Working Location Hybrid Toronto What You’ll Do As our Business Development Manager, you’ll lead a high-performing team of 8–12 Business Development Representatives responsible for fueling Nue’s growth engine across both inbound and outbound channels. This is a true builder role — ideal for someone who thrives in the fast-paced, high-impact environment of a scaling startup. You’ll bring a proven playbook for outbound excellence, coach and develop a talented team, and work cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales leadership to design and execute experimental GTM strategies that drive measurable pipeline growth. Job Role and Responsibility Build & Lead a High-Performing Team: Hire, coach, and mentor a blended inbound/outbound BDR team of 8–12. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Execute & Evolve Proven Playbooks: Implement scalable outbound frameworks; from messaging cadences to territory design — and adapt them as we grow. Drive Pipeline Creation: Own team performance across meetings booked, opportunities created, and pipeline generated. Partner Across GTM: Collaborate closely with Marketing on campaigns, events, and experimental GTM programs designed to open new markets and test new approaches. Leverage Tools & Systems: Use Salesforce, Apollo.ai, and Zoom Revenue Accelerator to track performance, measure conversion rates, and improve execution. Harness AI for Personalization & Efficiency: Champion the use of AI-powered tools for prospect research, account insights, and personalized outreach. Continuously experiment with new AI capabilities to improve connection rates, messaging quality, and time-to-meeting. Coach Through Data: Analyze call recordings, dashboards, and activity trends to drive individualized coaching and skill development. Scale Enablement: Establish onboarding, ramp plans, and ongoing enablement that help reps ramp quickly and perform consistently. Champion Process & Quality: Ensure seamless handoffs to AEs, maintain high standards in prospecting quality, and uphold consistency in messaging and ICP alignment. What You’ll Bring 2–3+ years of experience managing BDR or SDR teams (8+ reps ideally). Proven success building and optimizing outbound programs within B2B SaaS. Experience with Salesforce, Apollo.ai, and Zoom Revenue Accelerator (or similar tech stack). Strong operational and analytical mindset: able to measure, forecast, and scale performance with precision. Deep understanding of how to apply AI tools to outbound prospecting, personalization, and market research and a passion for operationalizing these insights at scale. Passion for coaching and developing people; thrives on building from the ground up. Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-moving startup environment.
