Our Company is currently seeking a self-motivated, hardworking Accounting Administrator to join our fast paced Calgary office.


The Accounting Administrator performs a variety of general accounting tasks to support the Accounting Manager in ensuring various transactions are properly recorded in accordance with the company policies.


Specific Duties:


  • Accounts Receivable duties including generating and sending out invoices, processing adjustments/credits.
  • Accounts Payable duties include processing bills for payment, matching invoices with PO’s verifying prices.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies for clients and vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date billing system and perform account reconciliations.
  • Assist with bank deposits, reception, expenses, purchasing, accounts payable, and payroll.
  • Maintain customer/vendor files and records.
  • Prepare other necessary schedules and reports as directed.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties & administrative tasks as requested. Perform other duties and special projects as required.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Accounting related position.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience in Great Plains would be considered a strong asset.
  • Well organized, proactive, hard-working and able to work in a fast–paced environment.
  • Has strong organizational and planning skills with prioritizing abilities to meet time sensitive deadlines.
  • Has excellent attention to detail, is eager to learn and is comfortable communicating with various departments within the company.
  • The ability to work independently and also in team environment.
  • Is flexible to work outside of core hours when business needs dictate.
  • Possesses a high degree of integrity, honesty and commitment to professionalism.


Must be able to pass a Police Criminal Background Check.
