About the Position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Administration, HR Processes, File Documentation and Data Integrity

  • Respond to general HR-related inquiries
  • Process and maintain HRIS for DHQ employee and camp staff
  • Coordinate HRIS data audits from HR Operations to respective ministry units to ensure ongoing HRIS data integrity
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of effective human resources practices and processes within DHQ and, as necessary, the division
  • Act as a resource to MU contacts with group insurance, group RRSP and HRIS
  • Support the ABNT HR team in the delivery of human resources programs, services, and initiatives
  • Coordinate work flow of queries that come through the general ab.hr email
  • Maintain the ABNT HR Resources database on MS Teams


2. Recruitment and Orientation/Onboarding

  • Review and maintain DHQ’s recruitment and orientation procedures and associated documentation
  • Assist DHQ management in the recruitment and orientation cycles
  • Support the Youth Department with recruitment of summer camp staff
  • Review and post MU job postings upon request, ensuring postings meet territorial Salvation Army requirements
  • Provide MUs with recruitment and hiring support as necessary, this will include ensuring the appropriate recruitment processes and recruiting platforms
  • Maintain general orientation tools, relevant documentation and resources


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in social sciences, human resources, or related field
  • Minimum two years related experience
  • Working knowledge of human resources information systems; UltiPro preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining processes to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Proficient with computer and Microsoft applications.
  • Respect and understanding of The Salvation Army - its mission, culture, and values
  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

Compensation

The target hiring range for this position is $43,741 to $54,677 with the ability to progress to a maximum of $65,612. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
