This course is the first part of Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management. The course focuses on the investment decision-making process from the perspective of portfolio managers. Topics covered include the theories and practices in creating, maintaining, and evaluating the performance of investment portfolios. It integrates the basic investment concepts taught in undergraduate Finance courses and delineates the investment process at a more advanced level. Current research findings are also shared with students. Delegated portfolio management is a main theme; emphasis is placed on adhering to ethical standards when dealing with clients. Job Details MAccFin Sessional Instructional Assistant – Summer 2026 Sessional Instructional Assistants are available in the Department of Management at Scarborough for the Summer academic session. The session dates are May 4, 2025 to August 31, 2025 and May 4, 2025 to July 31, 2025. All positions involve completion of all course grading. Minimum Qualifications Completed MAF2003H or equivalent portfolio management courses with distinction (“A”) Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree Completed all three levels of the CFA exam Previous graduate level TA experience is preferred Relevant Criterion Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position. Duties Prepare marking rubrics, marking, and providing detailed comments (both oral and written) to students on case assignments, midterm and final exams, and recording the grades. Provide detailed feedback of student’s performance and learning strategies to instructor.
