Analyst, Service Desk (Contract) Join OMERS. This 14‑month contract position serves as a maternity leave replacement on the IT Service Desk team. As an IT Service Desk Analyst you will support end‑user computing technologies, diagnose and resolve incidents, and maintain Service Level Agreements using ITSM tools. Operational Management Field incoming requests to the Service Desk via telephone, e‑mail, web, and in‑person. Document all pertinent end‑user identification information for asset management and support purposes. Escalate incidents to the appropriately experienced analyst. Record, track, and document the service‑desk request problem‑solving process. Access knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet and ITSM system to aid in problem resolution. Be available to work rotating schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Participate in the on‑call rotation. Participate in operational activities such as Knowledge Management, Operational Readiness, Quality Assurance, reporting, and Strategy Development. Coordinate enterprise change management as required. Participate in test plans where applicable. Contribute to the building of Knowledge Base articles. Participate in other assigned duties. Requirements Post‑secondary degree or diploma (completed or in progress). Adaptability to evolving organizations. Collaborative knowledge sharing. Drive to achieve results through creativity. Positive customer‑service attitude. Willingness to work outside usual business hours. 1–2 years of work experience in a Service Desk or Customer Service role (preferred). 1–2 years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows and macOS desktops/laptops (asset). Additional Duties Review Service Desk processes for improvements and report findings to management. Create Knowledge Base articles and training materials for new or enhanced procedures. Focus on continuous improvement through automation and efficiency. Delegate tasks, ensuring team awareness and deliverables. Handle escalations as needed. Review draft communications and share with management for approval. The expected salary range is $62,000–$92,000 per year, prorated based on the contract term.
