Overview Ross Memorial Hospital (RMH) is an active, acute-care community hospital located in the heart of the City of Kawartha Lakes. The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care. Position Director, Medicine, Stroke and Post Acute Care. Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Executive, the Director will support RMH’s Strategic Directions by promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence. This is an onsite position located in Lindsay, Ontario. Responsibilities Lead and engage an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused quality care, service excellence, and leadership development at all levels. Promote and maintain an interdisciplinary network and relationships with community groups and external agencies as they relate to the program. Drive strategic initiatives, planning, and organizational change within the Medicine, Stroke, and Post Acute Care domains. Essential Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of progressive hospital leadership experience Active registration in good standing with an Ontario health professional college Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Management or a related health science Experience designing, managing, and implementing large-scale projects, leading an accreditation cycle, and knowledge of quality improvement methodologies Excellent analytical and budgeting skills Excellent human resources management and leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, physicians and the community Excellent organizational skills and ability to adapt to continually changing priorities Excellent knowledge of program planning and evaluation Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change effectively Commitment to a multi-disciplinary team approach Actively encourages a spirit of cooperation amongst team members Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of the job Hours Hours of work for the director position are 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday.
