The Ross family takes pride in providing compassionate, quality patient care.
Department/Unit/Program Description
The Medical Inpatient Unit is an acute care unit supported by a patient-centered multi-disciplinary team which respects patients' confidentiality, rights, and choices. All patients requiring medical care can be admitted to the medical program. The most common types of patients admitted to the unit are: acute coronary syndromes (heart attacks, angina), congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, and pneumonia.
The CCP2/Rehab/Integrated Stroke unit is a specialized patient care area within Ross Memorial Hospital. A patient is admitted there for general rehab and acute stroke care. Each patient will have rehab goals to support their treatment and to meet the goals of a safe discharge home. The Integrated Stroke Unit cares for patients that have had an acute stroke and need specialized stroke care to maximize recovery potential including rehab functional goals. FE (Functional Enhancement) consists of a slow stream rehabilitation program for those patients who are unable to tolerate the intensity of the inpatient rehab program.
The Surgical Unit is comprised of both medical and surgical patients which have various complexities such as CHF, COPD, bowel obstructions to general medicine cases. The surgical cases range from orthopedics, general surgery, eye, women's health and urology.
