The Role The Manager – Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for leading the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions within the organization. This role is critical in providing strategic financial insights and supporting decision‑making processes. The Manager collaborates with other senior leaders to ensure financial strategies align with the company’s overall objectives. This is a hybrid position and will require the individual to work in the AMS office in Toronto Downtown 1 day per week. Key Accountabilities Financial Planning and Forecasting Lead the development and execution of the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Develop long‑term financial plans and projections. Identify financial risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies. Financial Analysis and Reporting Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision‑making. Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership. Analyze variances and trends to provide actionable insights. Business Partnering Collaborate with business unit leaders to provide financial support and insights. Assist in the development of business plans and investment proposals. Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to enhance financial planning and analysis processes. Implement best practices and automation to improve efficiency. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of financial systems and tools. Strategic Support Support the Head of FP&A and senior leadership in strategic financial planning. Provide financial insights and recommendations to inform business decisions. Participate in the development of corporate strategies and initiatives. Contribute to strategic project reporting for the Investment Committee. Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team. Foster a collaborative and high‑performance culture. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback. Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Budgeting and Forecasting 3+ years of team management experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is a must have CPA certification is required Experience working for one of the Big 4 Accounting firms is a nice to have Strong advanced MS Excel skills, and good background in finance systems Experience working with operations and other key players in a matrix organization. Experience analyzing trends and making deductions/insights from them – especially in the Service Industry. Experience in managing priorities and the ability to give specific examples.
