Job Overview Psychiatry – a general adult psychiatrist position at Health Match BC, located at Royal Inland Hospital & Hillside Acute Psychiatric Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia. Location The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 273‑bed tertiary referral centre in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap Health Service Area. The Hillside Acute Psychiatric Centre is a 44‑bed regional facility on the RIH campus. Role Description Provide adult psychiatric care within a combined 1.0 FTE (0.6 FTE at RIH and 0.4 FTE at Hillside Center). Duties include: Care in RIH’s 26‑bed inpatient unit, consults to medical/surgical units and emergency department. Participation in the Community Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) clinic offering Early Psychosis Intervention, Treatment Support, Rehabilitation, Counseling, Seniors Mental Health, Intake/Access, Rural Telehealth, Intensive Case Management, ACT, and Substance Use. Teaching opportunities with UBC Faculty of Medicine Southern Medical Program residents and students. Research activities and program development in neuropsychiatry. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, neurologists, and psychiatrists. Compensation Fee‑for‑service, estimated remuneration $400,000 – $450,000 per annum, plus MOCAP level 2 Physician Overhead with no overhead cost. Benefits and Incentives Relocation funding $9,000 – $15,000 (applies to 1.0 FTE positions). Pro‑rated reimbursement for part‑time. Other benefits include MOCAP Level 2 incentives (subject to change).
