If you are a strategic marketer with a passion for customer engagement, we encourage you to apply Position Summary We are seeking a strategic and results‑driven Marketing Director to lead our customer communication and engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for driving integrated marketing campaigns that promote research releases, product launches, and events, ensuring our members actively engage with our content, products, and services. The goal is to increase customer interaction, enhance their experience, and drive membership renewals. The Marketing Director will develop targeted strategies and communication plans to maximize customer engagement and retention. They will lead a team of four, ensuring all marketing activities align with business objectives and deliver measurable impact. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive research usage, product adoption, and event attendance, ultimately increasing overall customer engagement. Create strategic communication plans that encourage members to engage with new research releases and core offerings through various channels (e.g., email, webinars, digital platforms). Optimize email marketing strategies to ensure high deliverability rates and maximize reach within our database. Develop customer personas and journeys, creating targeted resources that guide members toward relevant research and services based on behavior and engagement patterns. Lead marketing efforts for new and existing products across all divisions, ensuring a consistent and effective go‑to‑market approach. Leverage customer intelligence data to identify trends, inform engagement strategies, and drive new initiatives that enhance the member experience. Continuously test and optimize key digital touchpoints (e.g., member website, campaign landing pages) to improve conversion rates and user experience. Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams to align marketing efforts with business goals, ensuring a seamless customer journey. Measure and analyze marketing performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and engagement. Establish a KPI framework to benchmark success and drive continuous improvement across all marketing initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and career growth. Key Qualifications & Competencies BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in a performance‑driven marketing environment, preferably within a research, SaaS, or membership‑based organization. Proven expertise in customer engagement and lifecycle marketing, with a strong understanding of retention strategies. Strong marketing project management skills to oversee multiple campaigns & programs and ensure timely execution. Experience with marketing and sales technology, including Salesforce, Gainsight, Pardot, or similar marketing automation tools. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies. Customer‑centric approach, with the ability to leverage insights to create compelling and personalized marketing experiences. Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across multiple departments. Expertise in content marketing, audience segmentation, and campaign analytics. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and proofreading. Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing teams. Language Skills Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish or German is good to have to support our diverse client base across North America and globally.
