Job Description

About the role

We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our Sales team. This pivotal role is essential for accelerating our growth and expanding our market presence across the Southern Downs/New England region. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in not only achieving but also surpassing sales quotas through effective client relationship management and strategic business development. As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales success and expanding our reach in the competitive Australian market.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, comprehensively understanding their needs to offer tailored products and services that drive business growth.
  • Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets for the territory.
  • Maintain regular client engagement, acting as the main contact point, to deliver high-level service and support.
  • Collaborate with the Nutrition team to address and resolve technical client issues, enhancing client satisfaction.
  • Actively participate in and coordinate sales promotions, campaigns, and events to boost brand visibility.
  • Build and maintain effective professional relationships with key individuals in existing and potential client accounts.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and product developments specific to the territory.
  • Contribute feedback to senior management regarding market insights, competitive threats, and customer needs.
  • Systematically track and report sales metrics, and stay informed about new product launches.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams for timely product delivery and customer issue resolution.
     
Desired Skills and Experience

Please note that this role will require travel and overnight stays.

Our Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or related field (highly desirable).
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a sales role, preferably within the feed, agriculture, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
  • Experience using CRM systems (highly desirable).
  • Strong sales acumen, including negotiation and persuasive communication skills.
  • Extensive product and industry knowledge with the ability to translate client needs into comprehensive solutions.
  • Proven track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills.
