Hiring Profile Summary

The primary role of a Technical Consultant (TC) is to participate in all stages of the

implementation lifecycle for interfaces (discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-

live support), under the direction of the Project Manager, and may lead one or more activities.

Project responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, configuring the Dayforce

solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting, and managing customer

expectations, identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager

TCs will provide regular project updates, identify risks, and communicate issues to the Project

Manager. The TC will follow established SLA and timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting services to customers by gathering interface requirements
  • Translate the customer requirements into technical requirements
  • Document and validate the export requirements and map to Dayforce functionality
  • Configure the Dayforce application to meet customer’s interface requirements
  • Conduct consulting sessions and document with meeting minutes
  • Manage internal (Project Managers, Project Sponsors) and external (Clients and
  • Vendors) stakeholders to achieve interface file deliverables
  • Maintain project status on a weekly basis
  • Manage escalations and able to prioritize the workday
  • Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise
  • Be a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external users
  • Ability to identify problems or find solutions to problems using technical documents
  • Ability to analyze export files and research the cause of the issue to determine course of
  • action
  • Responsible for the end-to-end management of delivering interface files
  • Ability to relay technical concepts to customers in clear and concise business language
  • Work closely with internal resource and customer contacts including IT staff
  • Continually upgrade professional skills to ensure proficiency in Database and
  • Development technologies
  • Manipulate, Convert, and transform customer data to Dayforce HCM specific formats
  • Test and verify in a manner that results in an efficient, high quality interface result

Must Have Skills

  • At least 2 years Dayforce interface / integration experience
  • Strong knowledge of XML / XSD coding. Must be able to read and write XML structure
  • based on XML specifics for Dayforce and Clients
  • Advanced expertise with Integration Studio and API/XML development
  • Relational Database knowledge
  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Data Transformation / Integration Practical Knowledge
  • 5+ years of experience in human capital management application consulting
  • Experience in business process mapping
  • Experience in change management an asset
  • Ability to read and understand a technical specification from a vendor
  • Ability to analyze vendor feedback and determine root cause and next steps
  • Good working knowledge of payroll contribution, benefits eligibility, and HR files
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with software in a SaaS / Cloud computing environment including experience
  • with HRIS Systems
  • Ability to engage with multiple projects & customers at the same time and manage
  • priorities
  • Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to lead and facilitate customer workshops and sessions

Essential Functions

  • Provide Implementation Services to Customers
  • Configure the Dayforce application to meet customer’s documented business
  • requirements.
  • Conduct consulting sessions and document with meeting recap notes.
  • Attend internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and have a
  • full understanding of the deliverables.
  • Must possess analytical skills to be able to understand communicated requirements and
  • translate those requirements into configuration with an understanding of mapping and
  • translations related to the Dayforce tables and schema.
  • Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of
  • expertise. Ensure client is held accountable for their deliverables.
  • Create XML documents that will be used for the basis of the Integrations.
  • Be a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external users.
