Manager, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Join to apply for the Manager, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs role at Staples Canada . The purpose of this role is to own both product and vendor quality assurance for the Staples CAD Brands team. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create and manage protocols that support effective product development and manufacturing, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to create and manage the appropriate protocols required to support and enforce effective product development and manufacturing, and build new processes while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards. QA Protocol Development – Create and manage testing protocols and onboarding processes for vendors and manufacturing facilities. Product Compliance Oversight – Ensure all products meet regulatory and safety standards; lead investigations and resolution of complaints or nonconformances. Vendor Audits & Accreditation – Establish and maintain third-party audit processes to ensure vendor compliance and facility accreditation. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with Legal, Customer Care, Product Managers, and external partners to manage risk and ensure smooth product development. Ongoing Quality Checks – Schedule and manage quality checks for in-market products to ensure continued compliance and performance. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance or a related field. 4-7 years of experience in Consumer Goods manufacturing environments, GMP standards, and QA/QC protocols used throughout the manufacturing process. Expert knowledge in interpreting output reports, factory audits, certifications, CAP requirements, and identifying areas for rectification or action; understanding of how different third-party testing facilities work. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to weigh risk-based data against the customer experience and identify root causes and timely solutions. Experience establishing new systems and workflows, balancing innovation with strict compliance requirements. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external partners with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset, typically with minimal supervision.
