From our headquarters in Richmond Hill, Ontario, we serve a wide array of customers, including industrial bakeries, major food service distributors, and grocery stores across the region.
**Role Overview**
**Responsibilities**
**Quality Assurance**:
- Conduct regular inspections of incoming and outgoing food products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures in accordance with SQF certification guidelines.
- Monitor and document temperature controls, sanitation practices, and product handling procedures.
- Investigate and resolve any quality-related issues or customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
**Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with the development and updating of quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Coordinate training sessions for employees on food safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing quality performance metrics and trends.
- Support management in maintaining and renewing SQF certification.
**General Office Responsibilities**:
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering office supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Coordinate meetings and events, including arranging travel and accommodations when necessary.
- Assist with data entry and recordkeeping tasks as needed.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in quality assurance or food safety in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
- Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, or other food safety management systems is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record and analyze data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
