General Function:


Audio-Technica Canada is looking for an individual to lead the sales effort for our Commercial Audio segments (System Solution, Live Sound, Broadcast and MI) in the eastern region (ON/QC/Maritimes). This role is responsible for developing key accounts, enhancing sales with existing customers, developing new leads, coordinating customer relations, qualifying opportunities, pipeline control for each project and increasing the Audio-Technica visibility and credibility in the marketplace.


Principal Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Executing the complete sales cycle, from generating sales leads, coordinating sales activities and required resources for solution development, negotiating, and closing. Assessing key decision-makers’ needs and developing a plan of action to meet customer needs with the company’s products and services. Managing ongoing account relationships. Maintaining account presence by providing value-added services and maintaining professional relationships with key customer personnel. Understanding customers’ business, technology, and product requirements and appropriately matching the company’s solutions to meet customer needs. Demonstrating significant expertise in assigned product lines and ability to explain technical issues. Favorably influencing product selection in targeted accounts with appropriate sales messaging and having a broad knowledge of the entire product line.


  • Engaging appropriate internal resources to support sales pursuits. Maintaining close communications and cooperation with all functional groups (Management, Sales Support, Logistics & Operations, Marketing, Accounts, Product Management and Customer Service) to ensure pertinent information is relayed to all parties involved in the sales process.


  • Assessing market opportunities and developing business plans to meet revenue and profit objectives. Conducting territory analysis and planning to enable appropriate allocation of time to accounts and customers. Conducting ongoing market and competitive research, including competitive products, pricing, and other competitive activities.


  • Coordination and attendance at assigned trade shows to promote company products and to develop leads, as well as creating and maintaining key customer relationships through networking opportunities.


  • Demonstrating and training customers for product knowledge. Promoting the Audio-Technica brand. Building and maintaining a positive relationship between the dealer network and Audio-Technica.


  • Performing revenue and demand forecasting, account planning, project control, and other related sales administrative tasks to grow assigned business profitability. Providing information and reports, as required, to inform management of sales progress.


  • Identifying new customers to increase sales opportunities.


  • Maintain existing customer base and promote sales growth while operating within corporate frameworks, policies, and targets.


  • Providing management with ongoing reports: Project Pipeline Control, Sales Forecasts, Weekly Sales Updates, Monthly Report, other reports, as defined by management.


  • Providing basic technical support to customers.


Position Requirements:


Knowledge and Experience

  • Bilingual English and French (written and spoken) required
  • Local to the Greater Montreal Area preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or combined education/work experience equivalent
  • Strong network in Canada’s Commercial Audio industry
  • Results-driven with an aggressive sales approach; competitive; and self-motivated attitude
  • Professional demeanor and good organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent customer service skills, including listening, oral and written communications
  • Problem-solving/conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Experience using CRM software and pipeline management tools
  • Demonstrable experience with system solution sales and sales management methodologies
  • Available to travel both domestically and internationally
  • SAP experience desirable
  • AV technical ability and knowledge desirable

Fonction générale :


Diriger les efforts de vente et la gestion des segments audio commerciaux (intégration, production, détail instruments musicales) principalement dans la région de l'Est, y compris le Québec. Développer des comptes clés, améliorer les ventes avec les clients existants, développer de nouvelles pistes, coordonner les relations avec les clients, qualifier les opportunités, contrôler le pipeline pour chaque projet et augmenter la visibilité et la crédibilité d'Audio-Technica sur le marché.


Les principales responsabilités sont, entre autres, les suivantes :

  • Exécuter le cycle de vente complet, depuis la génération de pistes de vente, la coordination des activités de vente et des ressources nécessaires à l'élaboration de solutions, la négociation et la clôture. Évaluer les besoins des décideurs clés et élaborer un plan d'action pour répondre aux besoins des clients avec les produits et services de l'entreprise. Gérer les relations permanentes avec les clients. Maintenir la présence sur le compte en fournissant des services à valeur ajoutée et en entretenant des relations professionnelles avec le personnel clé du client. Comprendre les exigences des clients en matière d'activités, de technologies et de produits et adapter les solutions de l'entreprise aux besoins des clients. Faire preuve d'une grande expertise dans les lignes de produits attribuées et d'une capacité à expliquer les problèmes techniques. Influencer favorablement la sélection des produits dans les comptes ciblés grâce à des messages de vente appropriés et à une connaissance approfondie de l'ensemble de la gamme de produits.


  • Mobiliser les ressources internes appropriées pour soutenir les efforts de vente. Maintenir une communication et une coopération étroites avec tous les groupes fonctionnels (direction, soutien aux ventes, logistique et opérations, marketing, comptabilité, gestion des produits et service à la clientèle) afin de s'assurer que les informations pertinentes sont transmises à toutes les parties impliquées dans le processus de vente.


  • Évaluer les opportunités du marché et élaborer des plans d'affaires pour atteindre les objectifs de revenus et de bénéfices. Effectuer une analyse et une planification du territoire afin d'allouer le temps nécessaire aux comptes et aux clients. Réaliser une étude permanente du marché et de la concurrence, y compris des produits concurrents, des prix et d'autres activités concurrentielles.


  • Coordonner les salons professionnels et y participer afin de promouvoir les produits de l'entreprise et de développer des contacts, ainsi que de créer et d'entretenir des relations clés avec les clients par le biais d'opportunités de réseautage.


  • Faire des démonstrations et former les clients à la connaissance des produits. Promouvoir la marque Audio-Technica. Construire et maintenir une relation positive entre le réseau de revendeurs et Audio-Technica.


  • Effectuer des prévisions de revenus et de demande, planifier les comptes, contrôler les projets et effectuer d'autres tâches administratives liées aux ventes afin d'accroître la rentabilité de l'entreprise attribuée. Fournir des informations et des rapports, selon les besoins, pour informer la direction de l'évolution des ventes.


  • Identifier de nouveaux clients afin d'accroître les opportunités de vente.


  • Maintenir la base de clientèle existante et promouvoir la croissance des ventes tout en respectant les cadres, les politiques et les procédures de l'entreprise.


  • Fournir à la direction des rapports continus : Contrôle du pipeline du projet, prévisions de ventes, mises à jour hebdomadaires des ventes, rapports mensuels, autres rapports, tels que définis par la direction.


  • Fournir une assistance technique de base aux clients.

Connaissances et expérience

  • Bilingue anglais et français (écrit et parlé) requis
  • Préférence pour un emploi dans la région du Grand Montréal
  • Baccalauréat ou combinaison d'études et d'expérience de travail équivalente
  • Solide réseau dans l'industrie de l'audio commerciale au Canada
  • Axé sur les résultats, avec une approche de vente agressive, compétitive et une attitude motivée.
  • Comportement professionnel et bonnes compétences organisationnelles
  • Solide éthique de travail et capacité à s'épanouir de façon autonome dans un environnement où le rythme est rapide et où l'esprit d'équipe est de mise.
  • Excellentes compétences en matière de service à la clientèle, y compris en matière d'écoute et de communication orale et écrite.
  • Aptitude à la résolution de problèmes et de conflits et à la négociation
  • Maîtrise des applications Microsoft
  • Expérience de l'utilisation d'un logiciel de gestion de la relation client (CRM) et d'outils de gestion du pipeline
  • Expérience démontrable de la vente de solutions de systèmes et des méthodologies de gestion des ventes.
  • Disponibilité pour voyager à l'intérieur du pays et à l'étranger
  • Expérience SAP souhaitable
  • Aptitude et connaissances techniques en matière d'AV souhaitables
