Position Details Employment Type: Full-time Contract (12 month) Reports to: Manager, Donor Engagement Direct Reports: None Salary Range: $50,700 to $51,700 annually and 3 weeks paid vacation Work Location: Toronto Work Environment: In-person position; 5 days a week. Position Description The Bilingual Donor Engagement Officer inspires and supports UNICEF’s supporters through dynamic communication and meaningful engagement. This role fosters supporter confidence in the UNICEF brand, enhances satisfaction through responsive and thoughtful interactions, and cultivates long‑term loyalty by delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, the officer provides reception support at the Toronto Office. Responsibilities Customer Service (65%) Perform inbound and outbound calls, ensuring timely and effective First Call Resolution Communicate UNICEF’s mission and values clearly and consistently through verbal and written channels Greet and assist visitors while providing front‑desk reception support at the Toronto Office Respond to supporter inquiries and process in‑person donations Identify and leverage opportunities to cross‑promote UNICEF programs and initiatives Handle donor and supporter correspondence via mail and email with professionalism and care Contribute to acquisition and retention campaigns through strategic cross‑promotion and upselling Strengthen partnerships by informing supporters about current campaigns and promotional efforts Direct inquiries to the appropriate UNICEF departments or staff members Support donor stewardship through timely follow‑up communications and engagement Data Entry/Processing (20%) Address donor and supporter inquiries related to tax receipts, donation transactions, order status, address updates, and monthly contribution modifications Process donations promptly and with a high degree of accuracy Perform general administrative tasks as assigned to support departmental operations Propose, implement, and communicate process improvements to enhance donor administration and service delivery Administrative Support (15%) Provide general administrative support as required Qualifications Secondary School Diploma Minimum 3 years of previous call center/customer service experience Previous experience with loyalty and retention techniques Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Raiser’s Edge Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French Strong multitasking ability and thrives in a fast‑paced environment Strong time‑management skills Ability to draft formal business correspondence and accurately enter information in various databases Effective listening skills Proactive problem‑solving ability and ability to provide donors with customized solutions Benefits Minimum 3 weeks of annual vacation (increases with time served) and 1 additional day per year of service (max 30) 10 paid sick days and 2 personal days 9 to 11 employee wellness days – additional preset days off each year Discounted rate for a GoodLife gym membership Access to an Employee and Family Assistance Program Access to a comprehensive global learning platform with over 1600 courses, webinars, and resources Internal leadership development, training, and mentorship programs that integrate anti‑racism and diversity, equity and inclusion principles Opportunities for local and global stretch assignments Conveniently located head office in mid‑town Toronto with satellite offices in Calgary and Montreal; easily accessed by public transit Inclusive and accessible co‑working and meeting spaces Commitment to Inclusive Workplaces UNICEF Canada is an inclusive workplace and is committed to championing diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
