The commission is seeking a values‑based, results‑oriented Executive Director for the Employee and Labour Relations branch. The ideal candidate is a strategic, influential and collaborative leader who can advance government‑wide priorities while guiding a team of specialists responsible for labour relations strategy, policy development, collective bargaining, discipline and grievance frameworks. They are a change leader who builds strong relationships, develops client‑focused solutions and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. Key knowledge and skills include interpreting and applying collective agreements, developing labour relations policy, guiding complex bargaining processes, monitoring workforce trends, and providing strategic advice to senior leaders. The role requires the ability to support harmonious labour‑management relations, ensure consistent application of legislation and policy, and represent the organization in third‑party grievance processes. Typical qualifications include a relevant degree paired with senior leadership experience in human resources, labour relations and organisational change, along with a demonstrated track record of achieving positive results.
