The Opportunity The Ontario market for LED lighting, lighting controls, and solar lighting is experiencing rapid growth as municipalities, developers, and businesses increasingly prioritize energy efficiency, cost savings, and sustainable infrastructure. To fully capitalize on this momentum, Daisy Energy is seeking a dedicated Smart Energy Advisor to identify new opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and drive adoption of our integrated product solutions. Position Summary We’re looking for motivated, results‑driven Smart Energy Advisor to join the Daisy Energy team. This role offers a competitive base salary, commission structure, and attainable performance bonuses. As a Smart Energy Advisor, you’ll promote and sell Daisy Energy’s innovative solutions — from solar lighting and energy‑efficient systems to cutting‑edge green technologies. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their goals, demonstrate the financial and environmental advantages of our products, and craft customized energy strategies that drive both savings and sustainability. Key Responsibilities Prospecting & Acquisition – Identify and secure new clients across municipal, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors; target opportunities for LED retrofits, advanced lighting controls, and solar lighting installations. Evaluations – Travel to sites to evaluate the needs and requests from clients regarding projects both current and in the future. Full assessments will be detailed to help provide the client with a path forward to achieving their objectives. Account Development – Grow sales with existing accounts through upselling and cross‑selling; maintain relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, facility managers, operations managers, developers, architects and engineers. Market Development – Represent Daisy Energy at trade shows and industry associations; educate new and past clients on energy efficiency programs and available Ontario incentives. Sales Process Management – Prepare proposals, bids, and quotations; maintain accurate data in CRM; provide monthly pipeline and activity reports. Coordination – Collaborate with Daisy Energy on technical product support; align with Daisy Energy on market development strategy. Qualifications Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, ideally within the energy and green technology industries. A minimum of 2 years of B2B experience is preferred in these areas, particularly in LED lighting, HVAC, lighting controls, or off‑grid lighting solutions. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with sustainable energy products, energy efficiency technologies, and related market trends is an asset. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders. Technical Understanding: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for clients. Performance Driven: Highly self‑motivated and results‑oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas and milestones. Organization & Independence: Strong time management and pipeline management skills, capable of working independently while maintaining consistent follow‑up and reporting. Professionalism: A proactive, customer‑focused attitude and a commitment to representing Daisy Energy’s brand and values with integrity and enthusiasm. Experience & Education Sales Experience: Minimum of 5 years in B2B or B2C sales, with a proven ability to develop and close new business opportunities. Direct Sales Expertise: At least 5 years of hands‑on direct sales experience, ideally in a consultative or technical sales environment. Education: Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, environmental studies, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will also be considered. The ability to learn additional required software to enhance the sales experience. Organizational Excellence: Detail‑oriented with strong planning, coordination, and time management abilities. Sales Expertise: Prior experience managing new and existing accounts, with a focus on meeting sales goals and delivering value‑driven solutions. Discretion and Integrity: Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with professionalism and trustworthiness.
