Project Coordinator

Project Coordinator (Civil Construction) Join to apply for the Project Coordinator (Civil Construction) role at Maple Reinders. Responsibilities Participate in heavy civil and industrial type projects. Assist in preparing budgets and construction schedules, and setting up project administration files. With direction from the Project Manager, initiate and maintain correspondence with owners, architects, engineers, sub-trades, and suppliers. Gain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtain quotations. Assist with and/or clarify scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers. Develop successful relationships with current and prospective clients, consultants, realtors, and developers. Ensure there is a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements and our Corporate Health and Safety Policy. Attend site meetings and assist in the completion of project deficiencies. Close tenders in consultation with senior managers. At Maple we are looking for individuals who have the skills and desire to take on the role of a Project Coordinator and have the drive to become a Project Manager. Qualifications & Skills Minimum 1 year or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry. A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience. Weekly travel required to site in either Dundalk, Ontario or Moose Creek, Ontario (overnight). Location Job sites are either in Moose Creek, Ontario or Dundalk, Ontario. However, you will work out of our Mississauga head office.
