Maintenance Manager

Our client, a leading food manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their dynamic team. In this exciting position you will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure efficient plant operations. This is a great opportunity to be a key stakeholder in a growing company that invests in its employees. What we are looking for you to do: Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work, assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment. Facilities will be included. Draft maintenance reports and preventative maintenance program. Inspect newly acquired equipment upon arrival, to ensure they meet standards. Assume a leadership role in the program of health and safety. Work with the project teams to ensure current and future compliance with all standards, including building code, electrical standards, the Ministry of Environment, etc. Safely maintain all mechanical and electrical systems, all plant processing and packaging machinery, boilers, air compressors and refrigeration systems. Coordinate with all outside contractors and ensure that work is completed in a safe manner that complies with all necessary manufacturing codes, regulations and standards i.e. H&SE, GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, MSDS Identify opportunities and make recommendations to continuously improve maintenance operations efficiencies and building systems Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities to balance plant & equipment availability with overall costs. Prepare reports on Health and Safety activities. Lead, manage, motivate maintenance staff. Encourage process improvements in maintenance and operations with all involved parties. Take part in decisions related to improvements. The ideal candidate will have: Experience in food or beverage manufacturing Refrigeration TSSA B Certificate 5+ years of Maintenance Supervisor leadership experience Hands on equipment troubleshooting, PM policy development Ability to work in a cold environment What we will offer: An attractive salary, RRSP match and benefits.
