If so, the Regina Hotel Association (RHA) wants to hear from you Overview We represent 24 of Regina’s top hotels, with over 3,200 guest rooms and 1,400 employees. Through Events Regina Business, our division, we attract and secure premier business events that generate room nights and boost tourism. We are looking for a Business Development Professional to join our Events Regina Business team to champion Regina as Canada’s go-to event destination. Position & Terms Position : Reporting to the Director, Business Event Development, you’ll secure business events that bring visitors to Regina, creating winning bid-to-host opportunities that drive revenue growth. Term : Effective February 9, 2026 Job Type : Full-Time, Permanent Work Environment : This position is fully remote; however, the successful candidate must be based in either Ottawa or Toronto. The team works from Regina, SK, but you will join virtually for weekly meetings and regular check-ins. A dedicated, private workspace is required. You Will Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation. Manage and grow relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Represent Regina at national and international business event industry tradeshows and sales missions (up to 8 weeks of travel per year). Assist with client hosting and support for sport events, including contributing to bid processes as needed. Craft compelling event bids by collaborating with hotels, venues, local champions, and tourism partners. Plan and execute sales and marketing activities to promote Regina as the best event-hosting destination. Coordinate site visits, familiarization tours, and promotional events to showcase Regina’s strengths. Support special projects and contribute to RHA’s growth strategy. What You Bring to the Table Innovative, energetic, and strategic thinker with a passion for sales and business development. Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills. Organizational and multitasking abilities with a results-driven mindset. Tech-savviness with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign). Ability to work remotely with a dedicated workspace. Bonus: experience in sales, marketing, or event planning; background in hospitality, tourism, or destination marketing. Valid passport (occasional international travel may be required). Ability to work flexible hours (including some evenings and weekends at tradeshows and events). Must have a dedicated, private workspace. Legal right to work in Canada (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work authorization). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Education & Knowledge Minimum 3 years experience in business development, sales, or marketing (preferably in hospitality or tourism). Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or related field. Proven ability to execute a project from inception to completion. Skills Strong organizational and project management skills. Adaptable with ability to learn new software quickly. Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively. Team player who can also work independently. Strong oral and written communications, proofreading, and editing. Detail-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines. Interpersonal and public relations strengths. Creative and proactive problem-solving. Personal Attributes Maintain strict confidentiality; honest and trustworthy. Respectful with sound work ethics; flexible and independent. Willing to work flexible hours (including weekends and evenings). Ability to socialize and network professionally; able to travel across Canada. Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; valid passport with travel ability outside Canada.
