I'm searching for a Restaurant Event Sales Manager for Downtown Vancouver Restaurant - 300 seats open for lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends.


What You'll Bring:

  • A passion for hospitality, backed by a post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, hotel/restaurant management.
  • At least 3 years of high-energy sales experience, ideally in hotels, restaurants, or the bustling world of catering.
  • Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and a pro at internet sleuthing.
  • Bonus points if you’re familiar with Opentable
  • A self-starter attitude with a hunger to smash sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication skills, because every conversation is a sales opportunity.
  • A rich knowledge of food and wine—your expertise makes every event a hit.
  • A knack for forecasting trends and crunching numbers in sales and financial reports.
  • Top-notch organizational skills—your attention to detail is almost scary.
  • Cold calling? More like goal calling. You’re a pro at opening doors.
  • A track record of delivering customer service that turns first-timers into regulars.
  • Well-connected? Great Your extensive local contacts are key.


Your Party Duties:

  • Deploy team strategies to unearth new business and develop key sales relationships.
  • Create and maintain buzz, leveraging your existing networks in Vancouver to throw the best parties in town.
  • Boost sales with current clients through on-point proposals, savvy contract and menu negotiations, and overseeing unforgettable events.
  • Sell and service accounts like a rock star—whether they're local heroes or big names.
  • Assess the profitability of your party menus and packages like a financial guru.
  • Keep the cash flowing properly by managing receivables and ensuring deposit collection.
  • Be the face of the party: lead site tours, rock sales meetings, and represent at community events and functions.
  • Contribute to the vibe by helping with daily, weekly, and monthly financial tune-ups.
