What You’ll Be Doing: Apply JE Product Development System (JEPDS): Ensure Design for Reliability, Manufacturing, and Automation (DRMA) tools are effectively implemented in new product development. Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Deliver robust automation solutions by confirming critical‑to‑quality process drivers are identified, characterized, and validated through Cpk studies. Leverage Advanced Data Analytics: Monitor and maintain automated process signals to support predictive quality and preventive maintenance strategies. Maintain Fast Response: Address quality and process issues promptly to protect customers and end users from defects. Lead External and Internal Quality Issue Resolution: Manage containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification for all quality concerns and scrap reduction initiatives, ensuring CI. Develop Standards and Methods: Establish inspection, testing, and evaluation protocols, including process improvement methodologies incorporating closed loop feedback systems. Enhance Measurement Systems: Continuously improve gauges and measurement methods by integrating smart sensors and automated quality systems into machine and process design. Ensure Gauge Accuracy: Select and design appropriate gauges for new and existing programs; conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) studies for all production gauges. Utilize Data Science and Analytics: Collect and analyze quality and capability data to drive actionable process improvements and predictive quality. Direct Testing Activities: Supervise personnel engaged in measuring and testing products to ensure compliance with specifications. Perform Other Duties as Assigned: Support additional quality‑related initiatives as needed. What We’re Looking For: Post‑secondary education: College diploma or university degree in technical discipline required. Preferred background: Advanced knowledge in Material Science. Professional experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong problem‑solving and process improvement skills. Technical expertise: Hands‑on experience with Advanced Quality Management Information Systems, including applications of machine learning, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics for quality improvement. Proficiency in statistical analysis and data‑driven decision‑making, including capability studies (Cpk), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and advanced statistical tools for process control and optimization. Certifications: Professional designation as a Quality Engineer (ASQ and/or CQE) is considered an asset but not mandatory.
