The Quality Manager will manage the Moulding Quality Control Department to ensure incoming and finished goods quality standards are met and aligned with legislation and customer specification. The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting all new model launch activity including, but not limited to, launch milestone activity, trials, customer sample submissions, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and process sign-off documents. The Quality Manager will act as the IATF16949 co-ordinator and the liaison between customer quality and production representatives to settle differences and enforce standards.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manages staff in the quality department by directing training and development while also carrying out necessary action required to meet quality objectives.
- Distribute work, including overtime and follow up of tasks for incoming, in process audit, final inspection, sample submissions, automotive PPAP, gage calibration and measurement system analysis.
- Assign Quality Approval/Dismissal where conflict or guides fail to provide judgement.
- Sets goals for the Quality Department, lead team meetings, encourage team cohesion.
- Monitor Quality Department budget throughout year.
- Advanced planning activity meetings, manage quality requirements, methods and QA requirements based on customer expectations using drawings and engineering specification documents.
- Identify needs and implement procedures via documentation and system changes to meet customer requirements.
- Monthly KPI management and reporting.
- Liaise with customers regarding quality complaints, new product requirements, sample submissions etc.
- Maintain an Open Items Action Plan.
- Represent the Quality Department on special task forces.
- Represent the Quality Department in training departments about reporting and problem-solving techniques.
- Source, justify and make production ready, Quality Systems automation equipment.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**
- Post-secondary education, preferably in mechanical engineering.
- IATF16949 training.
- IATF16949 auditor training.
- Knowledge and experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, TBP.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- PC Literate - Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and QC related software.
- Program Management experience is an asset.

**SALARY**
- Salary will be dependent on skill, ability, and experience
